Water bottling is a multiplex of processes designed to process and pack clean water for human consumption. The following processes are all involved in a water bottling plant.
At this stage, water bottles are thoroughly cleaned to eliminate any dirt. The bottles are usually chosen based on some aspects as their ability to withstand corrosion and other harsh weather conditions while assuring the quality of the stored water. Water is also sterilized to disinfect it from any undesired qualities.
The water bottles are filled with clean water. The bottles are customized to meet various markets, and they vary in size. Plastic or glass bottles may be used although glass bottles more expensive than the plastic ones. This process is usually mechanized where grippers hold the bottles for the nozzles to fill them with water. There are machines which are designed to serve both plastic and glass bottles in a water filling plant, although they cost more than those which serve plastic or glass water bottles alone.
This process involves pumping carbon (IV) oxide into the water. Drinking water that is infused with carbon (IV) oxide helps the consumer to remain hydrated for a longer period. Carbonating water requires more process and as a result, may cost more than that which is not carbonated.
d) Capping Process
The final process involves capping the water bottles. Once these bottles are filled with water, they are directed to a machine which caps and seals them before they are taken to the market for consuming.
A water bottling plant may vary in size depending on many factors with the main ones being the size of the market and availability of clean mineral. There are many reasons many people prefer bottled water for drinking. The following are some of the benefits of bottled water.
